Ways to train at the Haras

Each program is built around a clear goal: groundwork, ridden work, or preparing a young horse for its first months under saddle. Groups stay small, and every session ends with a written summary of what was covered and what to practice next.

Groundwork and longe sessions

One-hour sessions focused on leading, halting, and yielding. You learn to read the horse's posture and adjust your position before any ridden work begins. Suitable for riders who want a stronger foundation or for horses that need a calmer start to the day.

Ridden dressage lessons

Private or semi-private lessons on schooled horses or your own. We work on transitions, lateral suppleness, and consistent contact. Each lesson is recorded in a short note so you can track progress from one visit to the next.

Young horse starting program

A structured plan for horses aged three to five, covering longeing, first mounting, and steady work in the arena. The program runs over several weeks and includes regular updates on behavior, fitness, and readiness for the next stage.

Weekend immersion stages

Two-day sessions that combine morning groundwork, afternoon ridden work, and a guided tour of the stables. Meals and stable-side accommodation are included. You leave with a personal checklist of exercises matched to your level.

Breeding and foal care visits

A guided walk through the paddocks with our breeding manager. You see how foals are handled, fed, and socialized from birth to weaning. Questions about genetics, nutrition, and daily care are welcome at every stop.

Coach consultation for riders

A one-on-one session for riders preparing for a competition or a change of horse. We review your current training plan, watch a short ridden or groundwork session, and give you a written set of priorities for the next four weeks.
